Coin Usage
Coins are the primary currency in Squad Busters. They can be acquired in Squad Adventure, by completing quests, and by participating in events. You can use these coins to buy character duplicates and chest tickets in the shop.
Coins are hard to come by, and you will often run out.
How to use it?
- Only buy chest tickets.
What not to do?
- Do not buy characters or mega units in the shop; you will get far more characters by purchasing chest tickets.
- Do not pay to maintain your Win Streak, as it costs too much compared to the bonus taps gained at the end of the battle.
Get chest tickets
Chest tickets are items that allow you to open chests after a battle.
How to get them?
- You can get them in Squad Adventure, in the Gem Pass, or by participating in events.
- You can buy them in the shop in exchange for coins.
- You get them every 3 hours, up to 3 tickets stored.
Optimize end game chests
Chest tickets allow you to open chests at the end of a battle.
How to have good chests?
- Only buy chest tickets when you are on a win streak, ideally more than 10 to get the most bonus taps.
- Try to have the best possible placement at the end of the battle to get the most bonus taps.
Know your next chest
The chest cycle is a cycle of 60 chests that repeats.
The cycle contains 36 common chests, 18 rare chests, and 6 epic chests.
How to know your next chest?

Get characters
How to Obtain?
- Buy characters in the shop. This is not recommended as it is very expensive and not cost-effective.
- Unlock characters in rare or epic chests.
Note: You can also get Classic and Super evolutions in chests.
Chest Reward Chances
The rarity of characters found in a chest always matches that of the chest. So, a common level chest will contain common characters, while a rare level chest will include rare characters. If the chest contains a new character, Classic evolution or a Super, it will always only award one character, regardless of clicks.
Additional Character Upgrade Chance Per Tap
Each chest is initially equipped with a unique character, however, each upgrade can potentially increase its capacity. In the case where the chest includes baby characters, a tap on the chest could increase the number of characters it contains.
Get Portal Energy
Portal energy allows you to progress in Squad Journey, and then in Squad League.
How to get it?
- Complete the challenges in your success book.
- Upgrade your characters. Unlock them in the shop, in events, or by opening chests.
- Win portal energy by playing games.
Note: collect your challenges as quickly as possible, as they do not accumulate. If you do not collect them, the following challenges will not be completed.
